Underfail is an AU created by a Argentinian Youtuber called DeiGamer. Most of the monsters are very stupid and act in a very silly manner, except for Sans, Ink!Sans, Error!Sans, since they originate from other universes. Humans, like Chora (also called Pandora) do not normally act like this, with the exception of Frask after the first reset.
After a while, the AU started to be published in color. Each character`s color scheme is based in DeiGamer`s research and interpretation of colors. Though it seems to be comedic in first glance, it quickly becomes way more serious later on.

Frask[]
A very naive child. Climbed to the top of Mount Deigamer, thinking it was a good idea. When he did his first route in this Underground, the monsters were so stupid that they could only kill themselves, except for that time he killed one of them, then others, which ended becoming a genocide route, though he didn't want to. He eventually made a pact with Pandora so she bring the world back to the state he entered it in, in exchange of his body. According to Pandora when she was talking to Sans, the pact he made would be broken if Pandora failed to do a pacifist route, which would cause Frask to recover his body. That caused a reset. Then, he died over and over in the spike puzzle for 300 years, until Sans arrived and let them pass. He does For a short amount of time, he reveals that he is happy to be a good and happy person, as stupid as he is, and that he doesn't want to kill monsters. When he gets his intelligence, due to remembering his past, he wants to become a retard again. After explaining his past to Sans, Pandora is awakened, and he never reappears again.

His name is often incorrectly said and his Friendship petals (Friendliness pellets) fill HP. He is very friendly.
Tarial[]
Very forgetful when conducting Frask through the trap with spikes, as she forgets the way then dies. Frask dies when it happens. Even after Sans saves them, she still manages to kill Frask during their discussions with Sans or when Sans isn't there anymore.
Chora/Pandora[]
She is pretty smart, evil and seems to be the second strongest character in Underfail. After Sans freed her by giving Frask his intelligence back, she could have killed Sans during the first turn of their fight if she wanted to. She prefers to be called "Pandora" because of all disasters she caused. She wants to destroy the universe, but her plan is to first do a post-genocide pacifist to destroy the barrier. Since all monsters hate humans, she counts on the destruction of the barrier to cause a human-monster war.
It is revealed in the most recent content that she made a pact with a being named either "Satan" or "the demon" on separate occasions to become more powerful. This being gave her the power to travel through universes. She didn't hesitate to go to other universes, and she has been the cause of the destructions of plenty of alternate universes in the past. She was first doing it with a single swing of her knife. However, she quickly got bored of doing it this way, preferring to make the inhabitants of these universes destroy it themselves for her fun.
Pandora, besides wanting to have fun, has the goal of becoming the strongest of the Multiverse, so nobody can stop her, to the point where she could beat Satan. To do so, she locks the souls she gets and doesn't give them to Satan, while she becomes more powerful.

Sans[]
He originates from another universe which ended in a True Pacifist. However, in this universe, Frisk ended up dying. Thanks to Alphys's help to repair the interdimensional machine, he goes on other universes to fix anomalies and to help universes achieve happy endings, this time in Underfail. It was caused by Frisk's death in his universe, that he saw as a sacrifice for the memories of everyone, which changed his mentality. He considers that genocide runs are anomalies.
He helps Frask and Tarial pass the spike puzzle using telekinesis, recognizing that this timeline was the 1000th one. He then explains to Frask what he understands on what is happening in the Underfail universe, multiple times, before giving him his memories back. Because of this, Pandora awakens. When Pandora awakens, Sans fights her but dies in the end, powerless against her. He also questions her about the universe of Underfail and the origins of her power, curious about what is happening.
Ink!Sans[]
The protector of the AUs, who also tries to stop Sans from going in other AUs to prevent genocide routes, because he believes that some should continue to exist as they naturally exist in the AUs, but also because it may cause more, and more dangerous anomalies to exist.
Error!Sans[]
A destroyer of AUs that Sans watches the actions of. Sans believed he destroyed completely a bunch of AUs though he didn't, including an AU called Undercute that Error seems to like.
Satan/The demon[]
Satan appears in episode nine only, and is revealed to be the one who gave Pandora all of her power. He lets her have fun as long as she gets him some souls. He seems to be the strongest character in Underfail. He warned Pandora to not return in Underfail because an unfortunate event was waiting for her.

Miscellaneous[]
- According to Sans, each human child in every AU falls in the Underground at the same time.
- Monster have a hidden ability known as wild instinct. It makes them more literal monsters that, thanks to a newfound strength, can bring a lot of destruction and kill multiple humans.
- Monsters were brought Underground not by a war, but by the humans tricking them into believeing they would live happily in the Underground when Pandora was alive.
- Alternate universes are represented by planets.
- If enough EXP points are collected, someone would get demonic points instead. They can corrupt someone's mind and body if too many are gotten.

- Unlike Toby Fox, DeiGamer decided to give a sex to Frisk and Chara, being male for Frisk[1] and female for Chara.[2]
- Though it is not shown, Sans mentions that Nightmare exists in this Multiverse.
- Both Ink and Error warn Sans of what could happen if he continues to try to fix anomalies. Both fail, and it results in Pandora's awakening.
