Undertale AU Wiki

Welcome to the Undertale AU Wiki, the main place for documenting Undertale's AUs. If you wish to contribute, just know that it is REQUIRED for you to read the Rules and Guidelines and the Policy of the Wiki BEFORE doing so.

As this is an AU Wiki, this wiki is NOT meant for characters. The Undertale OC Wiki exists for those. This Wiki is also not meant for AUs that do not have presence anywhere else, and those should be put on the Undertale AU Ideas Wiki.

Trainertale is an Pokemon/Undertale based AU. Trainertale does not take place in the Underground. Ebott is a vast region of its own that exists on the surface, along with other pre-existing regions like Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh (previously called Hisui), Unova, Kalos, Alola, Galar and Paldea. The difference here is that most monsters happen to reside in the Ebott region, but not because they were forced to. It’s simply where most monsters come from, as monsters and humans alike can enter and leave the Ebott region as they please. Thus, there was never a war between the two races, and Trainertale basically plays out like your typical Pokémon game.

Each character has their own Pokémon and favored types listed, relating to their role in the original game. Some battle information is also given for each Elite Four member. Also, the final elite four member is yet to be decided.

Characters[]

Frisk[]

Frisk is the main character/protagonist of Trainertale. As they are the player character, Frisk’s team is mostly by personal choice, but friisans, the creator, head-canons them to have an Azelf (due to Azelf being the Pokémon of Determination).

Pokémon[]

  • Azelf (headcanon by friisans)

Asriel[]

Asriel takes the role of rival / Elite Four champion. (Fairy types lvl 75+)

Pokémon[]

Which one of these three Pokémon he chooses to mega evolve is random each battle.

Sans[]

Sans takes the role of an Elite Four member. (Ice/Dark types lvl 70+)

Pokémon[]

Sans will automatically reduce opponent accuracy by 50%. All of his Pokémon have slightly lowered defense (besides Gengar and Articuno) and heavily increased speed.

Asgore[]

Asgore takes the role of an Elite Four member. ( Dragon types lvl 65+)

Pokémon[]

Asgore prefers a team with increased defense and lowered speed. Which one of his Pokémon he chooses to mega evolve is random each battle.

*It should be noted that Charizard is only a dragon type when it mega evolves - its normal typing is Fire/Flying.

Undyne[]

Undyne takes the role of an Elite Four member. (Water/Fight lvl 60+)

Pokémon[]

Undyne has a strong offense with high critical hit rate. Which one of her Pokémon she chooses to mega evolve is random each battle.

Mettaton[]

Mettaton is a Gym Leader/Contest host. (Steel/Electric)

Pokémon[]

Muffet[]

Muffet is a Gym Leader. (Bug/Poison)

Pokémon[]

Papyrus[]

Papyrus is a Gym Leader. (Ice/Normal)

Pokémon[]

Toriel[]

Toriel is a Gym Leader. (Fire/Ground)

Pokémon[]

Monster Kid[]

Monster Kid is a Trainer/Friend. (Normal/Electric)

Pokémon[]

Grillby[]

Grillby is a Trainer (Fire).

Pokémon[]

n0rse tEM[]

n0rse tEM (aka Nurse Tem) works at the Pokémon Center. (Normal)

Pokémon[]

Although she runs the Pokémon Center, you do have the option to battle her, albeit only once per city. She also runs a Tem shop on the second floor of the Pokémon Center.

Hidden battles are also added into the AU, including Napstablook, Gaster, and Dr. Alphys.

Napstablook[]

Encountered randomly in Mettaton’s Gym. Only fights if you want to, and upon victory, you receive a Master Ball. (Ghost)

Pokémon[]

Dr. Gaster[]

Doesn’t appear unless you beat the champion. (Dark/Psychic)

Pokémon[]

Doesn’t appear at any point in the game unless you beat the champion; to trigger, go to Sans house and talk to him. When he leaves to get something for you, leave the house and go to his lab in the shed next door. After you look around a bit, he’ll appear at the door. If you question him about the machine, he will bring up Gaster and the last place he was seen. Once you receive the hand buzzer from Sans (which is absolutely useless and only given to you for shits and giggles because Sans) travel to the location Sans mentioned to trigger Gaster’s fight.

Alphys[]

Alphys takes the role of the professor who gives you a starter Pokemon. She was a former trainer turned professor.(Steel/Electric)

Pokemon[]

Each one of these belonged to Dr. Gaster when he was the professor. After he disappeared, Asgore entrusted them to Alphys.

Chara[]

Chara takes the role of Rival/Evil Team Leader (Dark/Fairy/Fight)

Pokémon[]

Chara will not mega evolve any of their Pokémon until the final battle you have with them before the Elite Four. They do not use any legendaries in battle but are in possession of 10.

Dogamy and Dogaressa[]

Both Dogamy and Dogaressa have the same Pokémon. (Dark/Fight)

Pokémon[]

They normally battle as a team, but at one certain point, they will battle separately.

The rest of the dog guard use multiple Houndours and Zoruas.

TEAM L.O.V.E is the criminal organization of this AU.
