The original story of Dreamtale started a long time ago, with humans and monsters living together. There existed humans and monsters with good feelings towards each other, working to raise society. However, there also existed humans with bad feelings toward each other. In order to maintain the balance of positive and negative emotions, a tree emerged from the bowels of the earth. On it were golden fruits, which were filled with positive emotions, and pitch black fruits, which were filled with negative emotions. These two fruits existed so that no one could abuse any part of the tree, and harmony within the universe would be maintained. The two sides required tending to, so two sanses came. After a while, the one tending the negative side got jealous and decided to try and take care of one of his brother`s fruits. He failed, causing the whole tree to wilt. People, filled with anger, started chasing him with the intent to kill. The brother, in desperation , ate a negative fruit and became powerful at the price of good. He killed the monsters and humans following him and ran away, becoming Nightmare!Sans. In grief his brother ate a golden fruit and became Dream!Sans.
